At Spence and Bo, we believe in and operate under the mindset of "original preservation".

We feel strongly that even the most neglected razor is best served to be cleaned, buffed, sanitized, and lightly polished by hand to bring out it's original shine. Each piece offered is it's own unique piece of history, impossible to recreate. Typically, underneath the plating you will find a layer of nickel plating, and under that, the base metal of copper or brass. When shown some love, buffed by hand, you'll find the layers will shine and blend beautifully creating a one of a kind shaver. Silver typically is found over copper or brass without a layer of nickel for your reference.
If we're fortunate enough to re-home one of our razors to you, be assured all you need to do to keep it looking like you've received it is to occasionally buff with a clean microfiber, cotton, or jewelers cloth.
